A gorgeous weekend at The Rockin’ TJ Ranch

When we started photographing weddings, we never thought we’d be shooting a Nigerian engagement ceremony! I think this may have been the first one in Montana (I mean, I’ve never heard of another one!) This was definitely a one of a kind experience. It was two days of full on celebration!

People came from literally all over the world to celebrate with these two! Family and friends came from Nigeria, Australia, Alaska and Texas just to name a few places.

The first day was the engagement ceremony. The groom, John, danced in with his groomsmen. His family read a letter of proposal and her family accepted. Then Katelyn got to dance in with her bridesmaids. The couple was given some amazing advice, and showered with money through the whole night! It was such a fun party, and a great way to celebrate these two coming together.

The second day was the wedding! The couple got married at the catholic church that Katelyn attended growing up. The ceremony was a beautiful symbol of their commitment to each other. And then there was even more partying the second day!

The best part was the way John smiled at Katelyn whenever she walked in. These two are absolutely in love, and we’re so happy we got to celebrate with them and their families!
