Alyssa and Ed’s DanWalt Garden Wedding

You know it’s a fun wedding day when the grooms’ cheek starts twitching because of smiling so much! This is how Alyssa and Ed’s wedding was.

This was just one of the funnest weddings to be a part of.

One of my favorite moments was watching the bridesmaids try to pick Ed up for pictures. Rob, Ed’s brother, had to help the girls get him in their arms, but even then, they failed miserably. Ed, knowing the whole time that this was the probable outcome, just laughed as he fell to the ground.

There were so many other lighthearted little moments like this. Ed warned Alyssa that she shouldn’t toss her bouquet toward the open garage door, because it might get caught on top.  Well, nobody listened. And when Alyssa tossed the bouquet in the air, it got caught exactly where Ed had predicted. Everyone scrambled to close the door enough for it to fall down. But there were no “I told you so’s”. It was just a simple mishap that only added to the laughter and carefree vibes of the evening.

There was another instance that had the whole bridal party laughing. Everyone in the party was running together for some pictures. I specifically called out Alyssa, and told her that she could not fall and get grass stains on her beautiful dress. She reassured everyone that she would be careful and wouldn’t fall. As soon as they started running, Ed slipped on his new boots and stumbled around, trying to get his footing. Everyone laughed so hard they could barely keep running.

There was absolutely no drama throughout the day. Everyone was just happy, having a good time, and completely excited for Alyssa and Ed to be married.

You guys put on a freakin’ awesome wedding! Even though not everything went off without a hitch, you both stayed happy and calm. It was literally raining when we got there for the wedding. But Alyssa, I have never seen a bride so relaxed as you were.

It’s probably because we share the name “Alyssa Nicole!” We Alyssa Nicoles are pretty dang awesome.

In all seriousness though, I love you two so much. You are an amazing couple. Working with you was one of the best experiences for me as a photographer. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day. It was a wedding day I’ll never forget!
