Chris and Ali’s Rock Creek Resort Wedding

Standing outside her suite at Rock Creek Resort, Ali wrapped the necklace around her neck, and fastened the clasp. She held the simple circle pendant in her hand as she straightened it. You could see in her eyes that she was thinking of the first time it was given to her.

Ali and Chris don’t have the typical love story. They met in their early teens and dated in high school, where Chris gave her that beautiful necklace. But when it came time for them to go to college, they parted ways, and Ali returned the necklace to Chris. They both went on to have other relationships, and it seemed that they had both moved from each other.

But years later, when Chris broke up with his last girlfriend, he confided in his cousin that he had let “the one” get away. Chris patiently waited until he found out that Ali was single again. He reached out to her and asked her for a friendly favor at a sports game. They quickly started dating again, and one year later, Chris returned to her that same silver necklace.

What impressed me about their story is that Chris never gave up hope on Ali. Some part of him always wanted to be with her. Otherwise he would have gotten rid of the necklace years ago. That necklace probably seems simple to those who don’t know it’s history, but it’s a true symbol of Chris and Ali’s love for each other.

I am so happy to have gotten to know you. You’re both such amazing people, and your love for each other is so apparent. I have loved learning about your amazing love story. It was such an honor to be part of our day and witness how your love came together, and what was most important to you was sharing that with your friends and family.

There was so much love from everyone who attended the wedding. Everyone was so happy that you had found your way back to each other. I loved the thought you put in to not only making the day special for you, but also special for your friends and family. You were so loving and giving to everyone there.

Thank you for letting me be a part of such a beautiful and special day in your life. I hope that if ever you feel distant from each other in the future, you always remember to find each other again.
