One of the things I enjoy most about weddings is getting to know the wedding party. Each one is unique and special. Although I usually get to know my couples pretty well, when I see them with their best friends, I see them in a new light. I get to learn so much more about who they really are.

Although Aubyn and Bobby were both completely committed to each other, you could tell that they were also committed to keeping their friendships alive, and making sure that those special relationships remained important.

It’s not often that anyone keeps many of their childhood friends. What’s even more rare, is when a groom has a fully party of groomsmen that he’s known since grade school. You could tell that those friendships wouldn’t just be set aside like so many are when a couple gets married.

Bobby and Aubyn have created a good balance for their relationship and their friendships. Obviously, like the huge banner at their wedding table said, “Saturdays are for the boys.” But like Aubyn said in her vows, Sundays are for them.

Although Aubyn hadn’t known all her bridesmaids as long as Bobby knew his groomsmen, you could tell that each one of them had a deep love for Aubyn. They were constantly laughing, pulling silly faces, or crying happy tears.

Getting to know you two has been one of the highlights of my year. I love you both so much and consider you my friends. I started crying when you read your vows, because you’re both so special to me.

Aubyn, from the first time I met you, your bubbly personality quickly made an impression on me. I love how you go out of your way to make others feel special. I don’t think I’ve ever hugged a bride as much I hugged you on your wedding day. You were just so concerned that everyone (even me: the paid photographer) felt loved and welcomed.

Bobby, after we drove to the Beartooth pass for your engagement session, I was so impressed that you would do anything for Aubyn, even if it meant being silly on camera when it wasn’t your favorite thing. You balance Aubyn out perfectly and I know that you will take care of her for the rest of your life. I’m so grateful she found someone like you.

I’m so happy for both of you. Your wedding day truly was “The Best Day Ever!”
